By installing or using Vesti Rehab (the application for the Meta Quest headset and its remote control for phone, tablet or computer), you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the application.

1. What Vesti Rehab is, and what it is not

Vesti Rehab is a visual exercise tool in virtual reality, intended to be used by a qualified healthcare professional, with their patient and under their direct supervision.

Vesti Rehab is not a medical device. It makes no diagnosis and does not replace any examination, opinion or decision of the healthcare professional. The figures displayed at the end of a session are exercise benchmarks; they are not a validated clinical measurement.

The choice to use the application with a given patient, and the choice of exercises, their intensity and their duration, are entirely a matter for the judgment and responsibility of the professional who uses it.

2. Health warnings — to be read before each use

Virtual reality and the exercises offered (moving dots, strong contrasts, head movements, walking around) may cause the following in some people:

  • epileptic seizures or loss of consciousness, including in people with no known history (photosensitive epilepsy);
  • dizziness, nausea, headaches, eye strain, malaise, disorientation;
  • loss of balance or a fall;
  • neck pain or discomfort during rapid, repeated head movements.

Do not use without prior medical advice in case of a history of epilepsy or convulsive seizures, loss of consciousness, heart condition, pregnancy, serious disorder of the cervical spine, or any condition that movement or visual stimulation could aggravate. Also comply with Meta's minimum age and its health and safety warnings for the headset.

During use:

  • the professional stays beside the patient, within arm's reach if the patient is standing;
  • the area of use is clear of any obstacle; the patient is seated whenever the exercise allows it;
  • stop immediately (right trigger held for 2 seconds, or removal of the headset) at the slightest sign of malaise, unusual dizziness, visual disturbance, involuntary muscle contraction or loss of consciousness, and have the patient sit or lie down;
  • do not drive or engage in any activity requiring balance while symptoms persist.

These precautions are also displayed in the headset each time it is opened and in the remote control.

3. Responsibility of the professional

The professional who uses the application undertakes to:

  • be authorised to practise and to assess their patient's fitness for the exercises;
  • inform their patient of the above risks and obtain their consent;
  • supervise the patient throughout the session;
  • hold their own professional liability insurance.

4. No warranty

The application is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, including as to its fitness for a particular purpose, the absence of errors, the continuity of the connection between the remote control and the headset, or the accuracy of the figures displayed.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the publisher shall not be liable for any damage, direct or indirect, arising from the use of or inability to use the application, including any malaise, seizure, fall or injury occurring during or after a session, or any decision taken on the basis of the figures displayed.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law (for example in the event of wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or the mandatory rights of consumers).

6. Personal data

The processing of data is described in the privacy policy: https://vestirehab.com/en/privacy.html

7. Changes

The publisher may change these terms. The version in force is the one published on this page; continuing to use the application after a change constitutes acceptance.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by Belgian law. Failing an amicable agreement, the competent courts are those of the judicial district of the publisher's registered office, subject to the mandatory rules protecting consumers.
